Playing in chamber music and in orchestral settings has always been an integral part of Erin's violin career. At the age of nine, Erin joined her violin teacher's orchestra and chamber ensemble, realizing she had a passion for chamber music. She played in many ensembles through her private teacher's studio until she auditioned and landed a spot in the esteemed Portland Youth Philharmonic at age sixteen.
As a member of PYP under Mei-Ann Chen, she toured the East Coast and performed in Carnegie Hall. Erin had the opportunity to play in a PYP string quartet under the coaching of John Hubbard. She also played side-by-side with the Oregon Symphony with Carlos Kalmar directing. After playing two years in PYP, she then joined the Portland State University Symphony under the directing of Ken Selden. Erin was concertmaster of the symphony for a year and a half.
In 2005, Erin joined her church volunteer orchestra of 55 members, in which she still plays today. In 2010, Erin debuted as a soloist with the church's accompaniment orchestra, playing Pablo de Sarasate's Ziguenerweisen in front of an audience of 800.
In 2015, Erin joined the Bach Cantata Choir, lead by Ralph Nelson. Their mission is to sing the entire set of cantatas by J. S. Bach over thirty years. In the 2020 "Super Bach Concert", Erin had the privilege to play the Bach Double Violin Concerto as a soloist with her stand-partner at the BCC. She loves playing baroque music with the BCC and respects her musical colleagues there very much.
Erin plays with many various local artists in the Portland area, as well as with her own chamber ensemble.
